
The biggest Danish whitegoods-reseller WhiteAway needed to get a stronger search engine presence in Sweden. The assignment was to optimize their Swedish website WhiteAway.se mainly for words in the whitegoods-niche, “vitvaror” in Swedish.
WhiteAway’s site-structure was quite good already so we decided to work with some pretty small on-page changes; adjusting the titles and descriptions and changing some texts on the site. Besides that we made a couple of campaign sites for them and tried to spread their brand and products to a wider range of Swedish blogs and websites by improving their off-page SEO as well. Focus was on both long-tail keywords with lower competition as well as on short, one-word keywords with a lot of competition.
We worked with WhiteAway from May 2011 to September 2011, until they hired their own in-house SEO for Sweden (a good thing to have for bigger brands). During the summer 2011 the amount of visitors to WhiteAway.se from organic searches increased with 173.31 % (March compared to September). Furthermore, their site climbed in to the top 5 in Google for several quite competitive keywords as “vitvaror”, “vitvaror på nätet”, “billiga vitvaror”, “diskmaskin”, “kyl och frys”, “köksfläktar” and many more.
